I just got back from a really interesting course! I cant remember th
e time when I felt that whatever things that I was gonna learn in class, was gonna be of use in the outside world. Haha. Maybe thats why I didnt do great in poly..I was trying to figure out how learning and studying about plastics and polymers is actually beneficial to me in real life. Its sucks when you absolutely have no interest in everything you have to study in school. But now, years after I have graduated from school, I discovered that the secret in doing well in school was to actually enjoy it. Have an interest in whatever you study, it will be easier.
So I learnt about behaviour managements for kids today. It was so interesting that I didnt even felt sleepy in class!THIS IS A RARE OCCASION! I find that the self talk card and the contract with kids idea so great that I think I am going to implement them to some of my students whom I have been having challenges with. Sometimes I feel like I can achieve a lot more, if my boss is supportive to new ideas or at least be appreciative of what I do. Just now, I almost raised my voice at her cos she still couldnt figure out how I do the data for the students attendance using the excel programme after Nurul and me explain to her like a million times. And you call yourself the boss?!
I will only be back at work on Tuesday And the next few days are so packed with meetings, appointments and errands to run. This was the stack of papers to mark that I left today. Actually this was taken yesterday, I am pretty sure that the height of this stack has tripled today, since I am away on course, and by Tuesday, it will so high that I will need the entire week to finish marking. Yay!
Also, I would like to redirect you guys to a blog of a friend who has went through so much and finally now, she has taken the time to write about it. It has taken a lot of courage for her to write so please visit her site. Its a new blog so it would be good to follow her story from the start. I believe we all can learn something about what she's gonna write. Its pretty interesting, its like a story blog, I dont even know how to describe it further. Haha. www.snippetsofetsu.blogspot.com
My poor Nurul is on mc today and tommorow so congratulations for missing the flag day! Woohoo! I believe she fell sick after talking to the boss for forever. Haha..its ok, its only temporary! Despite all the challenges, she has appoinments lined up for the week and she will be presenting on sunday's pase meeting! I salute you! Get well soon and eat lots of bio c!
