Discovery! Which Emotion Are You? My Result: Smiling Face What's up, smiley? Somehow you just always seem to find a way to turn that frown upside down. Your upbeat attitude and friendly demeanor brighten up any room, including your favorite chat room. Like your classic emoticon counterpart, you're a staple on anyone's list. Boring days and sleepless nights are far more bearable when you're online to chat. Whether you're shooting the breeze, catching up, or giving out advice, you can cheer up anyone on the other side of the conversation. So keep lightening the mood, making new friends, and bringing smiles to other folks' faces. After all, it's just so natural for you! It is already May. Yes time went by so fast this year. Before we know it, some things are over and it sometimes seem like we are on fast tracks to everywhere. I have so much to share from the happenings of the past few days but was not in the right place and time to type in my entry. I have found a discovery! I have discovered a new source of water in my home and that is not from the tap! It is from the air con in my room! Seriously, its been raining in my room and I remember only a few months ago I had it repaired when the air con flooded my room. It was literally flooding and I almost panic when my feet dip into a pool of water as soon as I get off the bed. My visit to Northlight was such a valuable learning experience! I thought it was an old school where all the 'rejects' went but after visiting, I have nothing but admiration for the school staffs, the parents and the students there. I also did not know that this school is fairly new, it only opened last year and this year they have 3x more students than last year. They must be doing something right! I was truly amazed to see words of inspiration and motivation all over the school. Its everywhere from the walkway, the the classrooms, to the kitchen, gym, canteen. They understood that the students there must have felt like failures when the first entered the school and I think on the whole, to repair the self esteem of a child is never an easy thing to do. Nevertheless, we were really treated well as they believe that the only way to prevent the students from being there was to support the child correctly from start. And that is us, the people in mainstream. I was also sooo touched to see the video done by the students particularly about them pleading to the world not to give up on them. It was like any of my students could have done this. So now, being more aware, I understand how important and vital our roles are. Perhaps in a few years time, they will not see such a huge number in their school. It all boils down to support and I am glad that I will one of those people making this little change that will mount up to a big positive change in the future. It was also like an SNO gathering! Almost all the SNOs from phase 2 were there! After the interesting visit, I was rushing off because we ended later than expected and I had 1 stp to do before function. Thank goodness for Charis and partner who 'tumpang' us and save me some time. After a rush stp (I am getting good at this) and rushed to meridien to do asar! It was almost 7 pm! Open meeting was awesome as always, and since Thursday was a holiday, I had a nice himalayan tea drink session with her! Is it addictive? I remember drinking this twice in the last 2 weeks. PASE was even more exciting than open! So many pin breakers, all ladies! Woohoo girl power. Naf and me were so engrossed with Pei Ling's story about how they met but unortunately cut short due to time constraint. The house is bursting with excited IBOs. William asked this to the team, 'What are we listening to and who are we listening to?' It is no doubt that I used to lack the team to cheer me on when I am down and need to be reminded about my purpose and goals. I used to be surrounded by people with sooo much negativity that even in a good situation, they will find at least 1 thing to complain about. I cannot understand these people. But now I am so proud to not only have a team to cheer for me, but also for me to cheer for them. I am even more blessed to be in a bigger team that cheers for each other. At PASE, we welcomed Sheila and Xavier who were in the business, went off for a few years and now they are back. Its inspring to see people from your past come back and know that this time, success is inevitable. I am so happy to see them and even happier when they remembered me! Sheila said, "How can we ever forget Afni?" That brought me great feelings! Guess what? I was at MPH warehouse sale today and I found the newer edition of 'The Science of Getting Rich!'. It is slightly thicker, with a beautiful cover page and hard cover. I was so excited and I grab it immediately! Fir, dont jealous hor! You can borrow it after I finished it ok, ask and you shall be given. Have an awesome, enriching week! |
