I just had the most exciting few days! I will update and write about Summer Conference soon, after Naf upload all the photos on facebook. Hah! The session was phenomenal and there were so many people from the Malaysian team who took up a lot of front seats. I was happily sitting in front but for the last session, I ended up sitting with my team mates because there were no more seats at the Eagle's seats. Can you believe that? Even Eagles have to go 'chop' seats so that just means I have got to qualify to get further in front where seats are reserved like VIP.
Came home only at 12 plus from Summer Conference and yes, we have to report to school by 7 am in the morning. Sleepy yes.
Anyway while the 2 days was great, I thought last night's bww open meeting and night owl was a blast! It was like the perfect icing to all the information and excitement of the weekend. I am glad I was there! The plan was fantastic and it was so super crowded, mainly dominated by the gala team (of course!) There is something about Dr Singh, he shows the plan in the most 'peace of mind' manner and it was really mind blowing. I especially like the boatman and the scientist story, it was so hilarious! Oh, these people sure know how to have fun.
Night owl, what can I say? As usual we were amongst the first to arrive so we got to sit in front. Food was not great, too many onions but frankly I did not really care as long as I have some coffee to keep me awake.
Session was sooooooooooo awesome, I am so priviledge to part of this team because only we have the priviledge of going for night owls. I think we started around 11 pm and ended close to 1 am. Sleepy? Yes especially since it was the first day I was at work -- after 17 days. I thought I had enough sleeping time for 17 days haha. Thank goodness, my Dad agreed to pick me up and I eventually slept at 2 am after packing up. Dad was asking how in the world I can survive sleeping for 3.5 hours and wake up in the morning and go to work as if nothing happened.
Simple. I am young. Young people do not sleep to survive. Woohoo!
Still, I was quite zombified so I am glad Mom packed good food for work.I did not have time to prepare anything at all.
I was so hungry for not eating properly the past 3 days of excitement that I packed rice! Yes rice for lunch at work!
Work was ok, but I must say that my awesome partners Cat and SP did sooooooooooooo much during my absence. I salute you! The SOP. exam accomodations and the camp details eg food etc was all taken care of, I am so blessed! Seriously, writing SOP is no joke.
On top of all that, we JUST learned that we are one out of two schools selected to host THE event next week for the bosses of south and west zone. You know how big this is? VERY! Thank God we settled the ppt slides today and I think it will be hectic until end of the week. SO many events, I am just so lucky I am not in this alone.
The boys were all so sweet to ask me what kind of 'sickness' I had for the past 2 weeks. Haha..a few came today to tell me their marks and I was so proud of my P6s (even though their petty fights with each other irritates me to no end) who scored top and 2nd top scorers in the class! Awesome! The rest were humble, and some of them told me they failed -- as usual. But come on, from 30 plus to 40 plus marks, yes still fail but what a great improvement!
I am still battling the problem of forgetful boys, who forget this, forget that. On Monday, I stepped into the class for Buddy Reading and found this:
Where in the world is everybody?? I had to make annoucement in the morning and still some did not turn up. Oh man..help.
Today I AM champion, 3.5 hours of sleep, went to work as per normal in the morning. Suddenly I feel like I am living a double life ..haha. Sleepless yes. Fired up yes. Is this normal? YES.
Done deal and this time I mean business.
