I am so exhausted! I have been working straight since Monday. My only day off would be tommorrow, Sunday and next Friday. Now, I am typing from work on a Saturday morning and I am wearing glasses. I took off my lenses only at 12.30 am last night. I have been wearing it since morning. I look like a complete nerd and I keep dropping things, knocking into things, stepping onto somethings..all the clumsy things that I can ever do.
The school holidays starts next week and I happen to be in the morning shift so I am not really looking forward to being in room full of noisy students. However, I am trying to condition myself not feel like that. After all, this will be the last time I am spending time with the kids before my departure so just for that no worksheets! Just creative writting and art work in my class! Hehe. Fun Fun Fun!
This has been a long and exhausting week. I am glad its over, next week will be better. Someone once told me to condition my mind into thinking that the following day/week will be better than the current one. It helps me alot because I know the best is yet to come. Hopefully, someday the best day of my past will be the worst day of my future. What made my schedule so hectic was due to the change of meeting days from sunday to friday. Meetings on a weekday is great as it leaves the weekend free and open to do other things. However to travel from the workplace after a busy day at work to the place of meeting is not something that I enjoy. There are so many traffic jams to get through and I feel like a lot of my time is wasted there. Nevertheless, I was not going to make that as an excuse not to attend. One of my newer associates was asking me if I find the travelling to and fro to meetings troublesome. My answer was success is based on inconvenieces. Nothing great is ever achieve while feeling comfortable.
Last night's meeting was fantastic! Since I end work only at 7pm, I was able to reached there only at 8.15pm. The house was full as always and I had to sit at the last row. Personally I hate sitting behind everyone else. I always have this 'front row' mentality that the people at the front will always get to learn more than the people sitting behind. It minimises distractions and in case the speaker does not speak too loud, you can still hear them. Also, there are times when only the front row people will get certain jokes while the rest of us behind looked at each other, trying to understand what the laughter is all about.
I watched X Men: The Last Stand on Thursday! My bro and me were so excited about it that why we went to watch it the first day it opens in Singapore. I will write about it tommorow.
As you can see, Laci has packed up her bags and left so I have a space to rent. I love her blog so much that I have added her to my blogroll. I opened up my blog for bidding yesterday before I left work and this morning I checked there are 33 bids! At first I thought, wow..am I that popular? Then I was snapped back to reality when I realised that the overwhelming response is most probably due to the fact that rental charges being cheap. Haha. I figured that since this blog is new, I will be keeping this up for the coming weeks. Then came the tough part. How in the world am I ever going to make a choice? I really liked some of the blogs but unfortunately I could only choose 1! Out of the many blogs that bidded, I fell in love with 1. You know how true love is, you can like a lot of people but you can only love 1. Hehe..and the winner is .....drum roll please.....dum dum dum...Undercover Angel from My Life In The Kid Zoo!
I have been reading My Life In The Kid Zoo for several months and I find myself going back to her blog to read about all the interesting things in her life. I will write an intro post for her tommorow but for now let me mention some other bidders that I thought was worth mentioning.
1. Stumbling Through Life With Grace
Pretty site! I love pretty site with colourful flowers! Hehe. This blog dresses some personal thoughts and encounters. Its got interesting content as well.
2. The Newsbitch Chronicles
This is the blog of a 20 something year old trainee jounalist. I have seen her around in BOTB and she has a great track record. Great writing. If you enjoy gossip, this blog is for you.
3. New York Nitty Gritty
I am not a big fan of photoblogs but this one is different. Otiliius takes great pictures, different from other photoblogs I have seen. I am not sure whether Otilius is a lady or a guy even though I have communicate several times with him/her. Initially I thought its a she but after some time, I thought some of the depth in photos are clearly the works of a guy. Otilius, please enlighten me on this!:P
These blogs have bidded for the 2nd time and I really like them a lot too.
4. Stupid People Shouldnt Breed
Just the tittle made me laugh. I really enjoy reading Tabz's blog. Her header is a cute cartoon with lots of black cats. I love cats! Tabz is a Graphics Speacialist from Chicago. Her entries are witty and funny. You will enjoy reading her blog.
5. Va Va Voom
I remember the time when Catherine was asking around for ideas to tittle her blog. Va Va Voom is an excellent tittle, it gives readers a sense of excitement just reading the tittle. She is from Australia and her posts are short, to the point and always enjoyable to read. You might also chuckle by her words every now and then.
6. My Devilish Side
Gorgeous template, great topics. Her latest post tittle 'Cant a girl catch a break?' is about her encounter with a milk carton. Its hilarious! You gotta go and read it yourself!
7. Modern Princess
This is the 2nd time Modern Princess has bidded and I really like her blog. I was greeted by the elegant tittle and her post reagrding her 'true' love. Its a short and funny post and it is definitely something I can relate too. Haha. Her site is really pretty and neat so go check her blog out!
There are so many other blogs that I want to mention but I am restrained by time. Dont lose hope and try again next week ok darlings.
