The Lamp ![]() I am sure that some of you must be thinking that I am losing interest in blogging even if you do not say it. Haha. I have not! Gotcha! As usual, it has been incredibly crazy this TP and my date with the computer at home will usually result in lesson plans. Plus, I am using my bro computer so he is very stingy at times and will not let me use the computer except for work. How pathetic. Anyone who feel sorry for me can help by getting me a new laptop. I welcome cash too. Hmm..where shall I start. So many things happened and I have all this muddled in my head. First let me start with PASE on Friday. I went home after school with the intention of taking a cab to PASE which starts at 8pm. I was hoping to catch a cab after 8 pm so that I do not have to pay the extra $2 for peak hours..I know, pathetic right? All so that I can save $2. To my horror, there were no cabs! I was waiting for decent cab from 8 pm to 8.45pm! 45 minutes of standing!! I cannot believe that it was so hard to get a cab..thank my lucky stars, I caught one when I was walking out to Eunoslink. I reach William's place at almost 9 pm. Nevertheless, I was still there and that was the important thing. I learnt this: Do not feel guilty about being passionate about something. If you are not passionate about anything, you will not be passionate about life. Well, some people have been so discouraging to me and my dreams. Thank you for making me more determined. I shall prove you wrong and have the last laugh. In life, you have to stand up for something, if not, you will fall for anything. Wow..the convention on Sunday was awesome. Being so kiasu, we booked the seats for our team. 3 whole rows! Nurul and me even uses our empty starbucks plastic cup to reserved the seats. It was ok, very electifying, I enjoyed Adrian Pang being the host as he is always so funny. Of course, the highlight of the evening was the speech by first Diamonds in Singapore and Doug Devos. After listening to the statistics on the Asian region, I am so proud to be part of such a fantastic colaboration. Happy 5th anniversary! School and TP has been ok. Except the fact that I have no room, everything else is going well. The day before yesterday, I was severely pissed at someone for not only interupting my lesson but also because she mentioned that she has already booked the room. My thought was, duhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! So where shall I have my lessons next time? In the field? Or perhaps near the swimming pool so that we can enjoy the breeze as well? I find this a serious matter because when we (the child and me) were asked to move our lesson somewhere, in the middle of it, 2 things are happening: 1. The child would think that he is not important enough because he has to move. 2. The child would think that I am not important enough because I have to move. The boys already have low self esteem and they have shown so much improvement in the past weeks. I really do not want this 'not having a room' issue affect their learning. I consider this a serious matter because by not having a room, it goes to show that the school do not think that what I am doing is important enough. My SCM suggested that I placed some tables near some of the staircase where it is pretty quiet. Yes, because the noise from the school is not enough to distract the boys, lets have our lessons near the staircase where there will be boys running up and down. I believe some of the other SNOs are aso having the same problem. I hope you guys will get this sorted out soon. Ok, as usual I will end on a positive note. This BOM is awesome! I received it on friday pase and I cannot stop reading it. It is a story about this couple who were allowed to make 3 wishes. It is a really thin book and I am sure I will finish it tonight. The book cover above is a nicer version of the cover but the content is still the same. Yo team, get this book man! What is with the hot weather? It is like a sauna everywhere. Woohoo! |
