I wish I can summarise my experiences of the happenings of these few days with you. However, no matter how well I can write and describe it to you, you will not grasp the whole idea. Why is that, you may ask. It is because, even though you may be able to picture the happenings, you will never know the feeling. I cannot trasnfer the feeling of excitement, joy, assurance that I felt. And that is the difference between you and me. I was there. You were not.
After my wonderful mentors gave a green light about stopping by Singapore, I knew that this was truly priceless. Come on, I only get to speak on the phone with one of them for the whole year and now that they are here in the flesh, I think it is quite justifiable to drop whatever thing I am doing just to be there. Never mind that we are 6 days away from Hari Raya Puasa and I have not done a single thing that prepares me for it. Oh well, except purchasing of clothes of course, haha. I think the fact the Diamonds are willing to spend their time here in Singapore, is an honour by itself and it would be really stupid not to seize this opportunityand grasp what is it that make them rich.
In the end, it all boils down to 2 things:
1. Prioritizing
2. Courage
Being able to prioritize what is the most important thing to be done at the busiest time, will affect your future. Do not get caught up with the nitty gritty stuffs and waste your time there. Someone once told me this, do not do the things that will get done anyway. Minimise the distractions.
Courage to turn up, to be honest when you cannot be there. I am not stupid, I can tell it when you are lying because it shows in your eyes. I also appreciate honesty, something that you may be foreign with.
Oh well, in the end, its not up to me. Your future is up to you. I can show you the way to a better life but of course you have to take the steps yourself. If you choose not to, it is ok with me because I can now focus my time of people who are keen to move forward.
Last night's BBS was great, the night owl was simply better! I was suprised that even though I was sleepy during the second half of BBS, I was wide awake at night owl! Maybe its the coffee, maybe its the excitement around me! I am sure Fir had a blast at his first night owl. First night owl with our mentors, what an unforgettable memory it must be. I was also pleasantly suprised when Kankan remembered me. I know it may seem funny to have to introduce myself to them each time, but they have thousands of people in their team in the whole world!! I mean, they might forget how I looked like! Haha!
The night ended with a very sweet gesture by Heng Min and Siew Kian, who not only sent me home at 2 am in the morning, but also waited until I reached my doorstep before driving off. After that, they sent Fir home too! What wonderful leaders Margaret has created! I am sure my team and I feel really bless to be associating with such winners.
Anyway I am super excited about tonight! Fir, are you ready for it? Haha..do not get tongue tied again, even though I am sure you are just quiet by nature. Haha.
Tonight will be another adventure, I shall return home tonight a new person and I shall be sure to know that no matter what happens in life, everything can be fixed!
Remember how last year tagline was: There is no spoon ?
This year, the tagline is: "I cannot promise you anything."! Haha.
