I did not have much going on today, I initially wanted to stay home and clean up. The rainy weather makes its so difficult to do that. Such nice cold weather are generally best for sleeping in....which is a blessing really. I have been having difficulties falling asleep for more than a week and yesterday was the first time I slept so soundly like a baby, Alhamdulilah. The rain just made it so much more cosy. Did my problem / situation went away? No it did not, I am just starting to cope with it. InsyaAllah it will be easier as time goes by.

Went for a 1 hour driving lesson. It was drizzling, my instructor said that I am ready to take the test with a few more session of practices. I actually like walking home just now, it was not hot, it was not raining either. It was cooling to take a walk. The walk will usually take me 15 to 20 mins but today I felt that I needed to walk slower to reflect and self talk. Yup, I did just that. Believe it or not, conversations with myself went great and I am glad I cleared up.

Of course I met Tommy downstairs and he was sleeping so soundly. Look at him, so cute and soundly sleeping! I stood in front if him snapping away but he was still sleeping soundly. It was only when I started talking to him that he woke up. He look a bit like Bedah in the pictures but Tommy is soo much more well behaved than Bedah!

Last night's open meeting opened my mind up about the words we use for our prayers. Dileep certainly pointed out something which has never occured to me, I thought that was amazing. I shall adapt and change my words from now on. Thank you for the priceless lesson. The leaders also announced 2 things.

1. Mega dinner for Britt Gala Team Singapore- 10 points to qualify, DO NOT miss it!
2. Team Meeting in January 09 and all new eagles will be involved.

Very exciting. I know that my most of my team mates will be at the dinner, no questions about it. 10 points is almost too easy, be there.

Less than 2 weeks to re opening of school and I am not all ready for it. This holiday was mostly overflowing with tests and challenges. I am keeping this in mind.

Mujâhid said: “Beautiful patience is patience without any panic.” ‘Amr ibn Qays said: “Beautiful patience means to be content with adversity and to surrender to the will of Allâh.”

I think I had a lot of panic moments this few weeks and that is not going to happen again. I think I need to manage myself a little better, for everyone's sake, to lead better, to be better in general. I am thankful for the presence of people around me who made it easier, you are always in my duas :)

I must also remind myself that after every challenge, is a seed of better and greater opportunity and reward. So when the world pushes you to your knees, you are in a perfect position to pray.

Omar ibn Al Khattab said: “Whatever hardship befalls a believing servant, Allah will make an opening for him after it, and one hardship will be overcome by two eases.” (Malik Muwatta Book 21, No. 21.1.6)

I will be eased, insyaAllah. Meanwhile, I have until February to get silvership done. Am I near it? Nope. Is it impossible? Nope. I have to take eyes off myself and focus on the team. Build the team, achieve their goals, not mine. At the end of the day, I realise I can do everything that is needed to make it happen but ultimately, it is the team that decides whether or not they want to make it happen for me as well.

I have learnt to be very patient with others, but very impatient with myself.

Patience is indeed a virtue, but please do not make me wait too long ;)

I promised Samina I will get it done. I will and I have no intentions of breaking my promises.
