I have so much to write about but alas, I am still waiting for Naf to upload the photos but I think she is going to take some time as she is busy exploding her business. No worries, I am writing using my bro's computer which means that I do not have the freedom to take my own sweet time.
Yesterday was a really long day for me. Had staff CIP so that means that I have to bring all the things I need for open meeting. This also meant that I had to dress the occasion and it feels weird being in skirt at work. I just realise how I do not dress up to go to work and I consider that normal and acceptable. Come on lah, I work in a school of all boys, what for want to dress up right? Unless of course I am doing some kind of presentation.
At first I was a bit pissed because Wednesday is not my favourite day to stay late at work. I would have prefered to go home, showered and get ready nicely at home. However, I knew that I had to go do the CIP anyway so might as well get it done.
I am always so touched to see the old folks, some of them are so old and one of them reminded me of me when he walked around using a walking stick. As I was watching them eat the food, one of them, a really old lady was even having problems cutting it into smaller pieces to feed herself. I could not bear to see it that I had to help her cut it. My only regret is that I cannot interact with them due to the language barrier. They speak mainly hokkien and cantonese so it was really difficult to communicate. Nevertheless I was pleasantly suprised that they enjoyed playing the card games! That was a rare sight. For a while the centre looked like a gambling den, haha..except we were using old maid and donkey cards to play.
The longer I was there, the more I started to wonder how I will be like when I get to their age in the future. Of course my hope is to be with family but what if I have no children to take care of me when I am old?
It is scary to think that in 40 or 50 years, that is where I will be. Of course if God decide that I should have a long life. I have never really asked for a long life, just a fulfiling and meaningful life would have been great for me.
What was great to see was how much they were so appreciative and thankful for our short presence there. I thought that I did not do much but the look of their faces was enough to make my day.

I was starving after that so went to ahead to Maulana to do Asar.
Guess who I saw at Maulana? Nur Aini! Its so nice to see her and I think Nur Aini has a magic potion to retain her youthfulness. She looked like she did not age since poly days! Haha.really. Anyway its always great to meet old friends and of all places and all time, we met there, and that is not our usually stopover.
Anyway I am glad that she is doing well and what a great a meaningful place to work in!
After that went over to PASTAMANIA (first time) to eat before open meeting and the food was soooooooooooooo good. It could be that I was starving too. Hehe..I shall upload the pics soon!
1 more week to walking elegantly, hopefully running and dancing too.
