You can call me Noi! This blog consists of my thoughts. I am just a simple person with BIG dreams! Like the charcoal, hot pressure and extreme heat must be present in order to create a Diamond. I am in the exact same process.

Opportunity
I really prefer being busy. There is no classes for the past few days and that meant that I am supposed to be at home finishing off assignments. But I have been such a slacker. I did some read up and at least try to summarise the articles but after a while, the small fonts and the big words used just turn me off and made me drift off to do other things. The ironic part is I am writing about multiple intelligences and learning styles of students. They are now trying to accomodate the students learning in classroom to their style and not the teacher's style. And here I am wondering why isnt the instituition accomodating to my style of learning? Of course, I am linguistic so there are no excuses, but having big fonts makes reading easier for everyone, not just students who are dyslexic:p
Anyway, I dont think I have mentioned about knowing where I will be next year. The lecturer released the list that states which school we shall be going for teaching practicum next year. Guess what? I got an all boys school. Again. I was sent to an all boys school last June and here I am again. It is not the same school though. What was dissapointing is that this school is nearer to my old home. One of my friends got this school which is only 5 minutes away from my home! Argh! Imagine working there, school starts at 7.30 and I can wake up at 7! Haha. I think I am meant be forever far away from my home. Oh well..the school is beautiful though. Its just the thought of teaching only boys and being around boys all the time...its just not a good feeling. I will survive!
"Be concern about where you are going, not what you are going through."
I had some interesting conversation with some individuals this week. A common trait among them was that they were all whining and sighing away about their lack of money, they are tired, blah blah blah. It is not uncommon though. I was not suprise but I wonder why people complain about their life when they can always choose to change it. It is like this story of a dog howling away in pain. Imagine this in your head. You: Why is the dog howling away? Dog owner: He is sitting on a nail. You: Why doesnt he get up and move? Dog owner: Oh, it doesnt hurt him bad enough.
The people are just like this dog, they are in pain but unwilling to get up and move, move on to do things that will benefit. Talking and complaining about it will NOT change anything. Isnt that just common sense?
What is worse is that when they are presented with an opportunity, they rejects it, thus denying themselves of a shot at a better life. I have always believe that we now live in a world full of opportunities present all around us. We just have to think outside the box and visualise what can be done rather that what cannot be done. Therefore when we are old one day, we cannot say that we were not given an opportunity. We were and its all around us. We just didnt look hard enough.
