Thank you
It is nice to have nothing to do on a Monday. I do have to sort my notes and files which I have been procrastinating to do since Saturday. There seem to be an increasingly lack of space in my room and I have to continuously figure out where to put everything so that the room still look neat. I admit I am a neat freak and I have to constantly make sure that everything is straight and in order or I will go berserk. Ok I am sure everyone knows by now that I have been slammed hard by the bitches at I Talk Too Much. I am not really bothered by the harsh comments but to put down all Asian blogs just because we have atrocious English was simply unfair. First of all, I have been using only English here at Voicing My Thoughts and I do not mix 2 languages together. Secondly, everyone makes spelling errors, so it is understandable that I have spelling errors at my blog. Also to compare the English language used by the Asians to the rest of the world who speak English as their first language is ridiculous. Most of us are bilingual and we do speak our mother tongue language and in Singapore we even speak Singlish- a language derived as a result of combining too many languages in ones speech. It is like asking you to come here and speak mandarin and then judging you on that. About content I am not really bothered that some people might find my blog a cure of insomnia. You do know that if you do not like what you are reading, you can always NOT read it. It does not bother me and this is not a popularity contest. Thirdly, blogging exist so that people can express themselves online without having to worry about exposing their identity. Who ever had the idea of needing a license to blog?! Gosh. Anyway, I realize that some of my favourite blogs online have been slammed down too by the bitches. At the end of the day, it all boils down to having readers that can relate to you. Even if no one can relate to what is happening in your life, it is your blog and you are entitled to have it anyway you want it to. Thank you for the review. |
