Special thanks to my awesome awesome awesome Britt team mates! Love ya all! Muacks!
Actually new year has already started according to the Islamic calendar. This new year I know I will see:
- more systems in place at work
- eagles born in my team
- myself going silver and platinum this year
- a growing team of excited people
It is almost a done deal so just know that I will do whatever it takes to help you get to where you wanna be.
Of course I do have some personal goals as well, but as usual I shall not write it here. My special special thanks to YOU for making me believe in THIS again this year.
I will be here waiting for YOU.....;)
My special thanks to YOU for 2008
I had meant to write in sooner for was caught up with going ons, Alhamdulilah all went well and congratulations to all those who qualify for the Britt Gala Dinner this Saturday! I am soooo proud of you!
Today I accidently mentioned something to my mum and now she is going to keep bugging me, more than usual! Argh, darn it.
Like tradition, I intended to write in the best moments of 2008 but this 2008 had too many wonderful things happening to me. Of course the sweetest was going eagle in November, that is hard to beat! I was the busiest this year, with so many programmes running in school and outside school. I was looking through some of the entries from January and I really started the year very busy. I know 2009 will be another busy year but I must ensure that I take time for myself, take more mental health days and of course spend more time with lovely friends. I think as we get older, we tend to appreciate our friends more and this year in particular, I had so many awwww moments with regards to my friends' words and actions so I felt truly blessed this year.
Of course I had moments when I was super dissapointed with myself like missing the FTT test, not scheduling driving lessons properly, not handling some situations well at the start of the year, its unbelieveable! I looked back and saw how stupid I was, BUT I guess I learned a lot - the hard way. I learnt to be assertive and not let others control me or take advantage of me. Just because I am nice, does not mean I can be bullied ok.
My most emotional moments include sharing in the bus on the way back to Singapore for FED. That was when I realised that when I teared, my team teared with me as well so no matter what I have to remain strong for them.
Most annoying moment was when I was asked to share about PSG in front of all the SNOs. Yup, all of them, about more than 100 SNOs and when was I informed? 2 weeks before! Thank God for the Britt system that has trained me well in speaking publicly.
Great things at work includes winning commendation for SN team, winning OCA award for PWB department (even though I didnt contribute much! gosh!), spent lovely time with my boys at Southern Ridges and then again during the Adventure Camp, seeing Nathaniel on stage on Award's night, Wes and mom thanking me, my P6 boys thanking me profusely, having another SNO partner around (the best one!), Cat moving next door for our Learning Hub, Jai calling me the 'best teacher in the world', finally getting a laptop, PSG meetings was huge success, host school for 1st mass CPD (headache :P) etc. It has been really fruitful at work! Very busy too.
