Summer Conference Update -- finally! / Sunday, May 24, 2009 @ 11:11 PM
Thanks Naf for the photos! I felt that I should wait for the photos before I write about the whole phenomenal event. Its more sync that way.
Frankly the whole event was such a blast, our money was worth every cent. I was early on the first day arriving at 2 pm by cab. I was still limping about, which is the main reason I was not able to volunteer myself as the usherer. A bit sad you know because I saw the younger guys like Nasri and Zhenwei all ushering. At first I thought that you need to be Eagle to be usherers but apparently they were early so they get to do it. It always pays to be early.
While I was standing in the queue, a lady from the malaysian team (I always call her lady in white tudung because I cannot remember her name) saw me and excitedly came over and hug me. I was a bit shocked but I was also glad that someone across the border remember me and acknowledge my presence. It is truly awesome that we meet our team mates from all over at every major function! Be it in Singapore or KL!
The teachings..woah..was so priceless to me. EDC Wang was oooooooooooooo awesome! I wish I could undersatnd 100% of what he is saying because his words in mandarin may not have the same impact when its translated in English. I was so amazed by his story of losing 600 IBOs and now finally rising back up from that deep pit. The persistency, my goodness, what a winner. As we know, China market is one of the toughest market in the world but nevertheless, in the toughest market, rise the champions of winners. His opening sentence was like a slap. How many people can actually go up the stage and say "I do not like doing this but yet I am successful in this because its only logical to do so" I learnt posture from him.
Dr NP Singh taught me about problems. Problems are not problems. They are part of life. Accept it, move on. He is really funny you know, I remember laughter after laughter. Such powerful teachings! I was also so amazed that he does his practice now for free. Where in the world can you find doctors who treat their patients for free??!! I was so wowed!
As I was still having challenges bending my knee, I was a bit worried on how I can perform prayers. I am still doing my prayers on the chair and the usual places we solat at are usually empty spaces. To my suprise, we found a chair at the staircase where we do our prayers!
God truly made it easier for me, Alhamdulilah.
My team mates and me decided to meet earlier on Sunday to have lunch together before going. We ate at Hanis and alas, I was starving from the night before!
Great food, even greater company.
The thing about arrving early is how you get to spend time with the rest of the team. Some team mates insisted that I sit down instead of standing in queue and being the kiasu Singaporean, I did not want to sit down and lose my place in the queue. Sooooo, while the gang were away hunting for tools, this was what happened.
All our bags were lining up. The amazing thing was that, our team was the only one doing this and people actually stood behind the line of bags! Haha.
EDC Wang shared about the bell curve of life. It made total sense! It is sad how people are always climbing the wrong ladders but that is life. People are the result of their choices, every single one of the them.
I was so shocked when they got our lovely uplines and Kumar via phone! It must be 8 plus in the morning there and what are they doing awake?? Nevertheless, its really is not in their routine to be up so early but because they love us sooooooo much, they got up early. How not to love them right?
At the end of the night we had a group huddle and it was the MOST exciting and powerful huddle we ever had. I think we were the last team to leave. Again, people insist that I sit down, people have got to relax ;) But really, I was so touched everyone is so concerned even though I was not limping as badly that day when I first fell and attended PASE.
Recorded all the voices and sent it to our dear uplines via CommuniKate. Ok, I am still getting better at technology so this CommuniKate technology where we can send voice messages to people halfway across the world still amazed me. Haha.

I think in my whole life, only 2 people has ever said that to me. She is only the second one in my whole 28 years of existence on this Earth!
I shall be able to dance in CL and LO class by Sunday, 31st May 2009.
I shall break 2 Eagle legs by August 2009.
I shall make it happen, and take the actions necessary to get it done so I can make my uplines proud.
I shall not be denied.
