You can call me Noi! This blog consists of my thoughts. I am just a simple person with BIG dreams! Like the charcoal, hot pressure and extreme heat must be present in order to create a Diamond. I am in the exact same process.

I was suprised that I didnt mentioned about last week's meetings here. It was such an impactful session for me that I cant believe I didnt write about it. I must admit that I have been really distracted these past few days. I didnt realise how far I have drifted until someone said something about coming back to my roots. Of course that person was not saying directly to me. A couple of weeks ago I wrote about finding your own identity. It is so that if you ever lose yourself, you will eventually come back to yourself, who you really are. These past few months have been the most challenging months in my whole entire life. And when things get uncomfortable, I am left to choose what is right and what is easy.

Because of the recent challenges, I have made a couple of decisions, which I dont really like. However, it has to be done to allow further growth for the future. I must thank all the wonderful people around me who have stuck with me through these bad times. Each and every individual provided me with a that little inspiration and strength that I need to get by. I understand it must be tough for you too, but together, we will get through it like we always have. We are born to win, NOT to settle being average. The future is set for us, we just need to have the faith that we will reach that destination that we painted in our dreams. We are overcomers and we will overcome each and every obstacle that comes along the way. We can, we will and we must.
I am glad that I had done the work of sowing the seeds. Part of it was to surround myself with great people like you. If it is not for you, I dont think I will be here today. Sometimes knowledge gained while in the presence of a great person is more valuable than what is learned on my own. Thank you. You are more important than you think. How do I know if you are great? The following is taken from the book 'Resilent Power of Purpose' by Larry Diangi.

1. Great people have ideas. Great people value ideas and they realize that one idea can change everything.
2. Great people have contacts and connections with a multitude of other greater people.
3. Great people know where the landmines are and where the gold is buried. Although own experience is good teacher, other people's experiences are often a better teacher.
4. Great people know when to talk and when to keep silent.
5. Great people are willing to change and admit it if they made a mistake.

Let me share this wonderful story that was shared by Muneer last week.
There was once a blind man who always sits in a tunnel to the train station. He sits there everyday waiting for people who are generous enough to drop a few coins into the container he prepared. He hold a sign that says:

'I am blind. Please donate some money. Thank you.'

One day, a lady from out of town was walking past the blind man. She stopped.
"How's it going?" said the lady who could not help but sympathizes with the blind man.
"Ok, but not too good. I hear a lot of footsteps walking past me everyday but at the end of the day, only a small percentage will drop that few coins into this container." replies the blind man.
"Will you let me help you?" the lady responded.
"Sure why not."

The lady took the sign. The blind man had no idea what she was going to do. He heard some scribbling, some writting with markers and thats it.

"I will come back at the end of the day to see how you do. See ya!" she left hurriedly.
The blind man had no idea what the lady did but what happen was people started to donate. More people. More coins. There were some who even gave dollar notes. The blind man was puzzled. He still had no idea what the lady did. When the lady came back later in the evening, he was excited and could not wait to ask what the lady did that cause a lot more people to donate.

"I just changed your sign." the lady said.

Still curious, the blind man asked, "Thank you. Because of what you did, I am blessed today. Dont mind me asking, what exactly you wrote on the sign?"

The sign wrote:
'Today is spring. I cant see it.'

Moral of the story: Sometimes it all about using the right words at the right time, from the right person. Its also about looking at things from another perspective.
