Resignation Letter / Wednesday, April 19, 2006 @ 7:07 PM
Hey I have been thinking about how I should write my resignation letter. I want to write something, sarcastic and original and so I have copied the following with a few adjustments here and there. To the best boss in the world, This is the first time I have communicated with you and and sadly it will be the last. I want to thank you for all you have not done for me in my employment here. It has been wonderful working with such a talented person like you. I cant understand why the whole office cant see that in you. Just last year, more than 10 staffs have resigned and left you too, and I can understand your devastation. All I can say is that they miss the opportunity to further work with you, which, if they are lucky, will eventually lead them to being a really well known resident in the mentally challenge home. I regret to inform you that it is now time for me to move on and I have accepted a position as a garbage person. This decision was quite easy and took little consideration. However, I am confident that this new role represents a step up from the fantastic career opportunities that you have for me here. I’ll miss your unclear emails intensely which I believe, took you a really long time to master. I’ll never forgive you for sending me so few of them. I will also miss the times you say all the wonderful things behind my back because it was the most nicest thing any human being have ever said about me. After watching your painstaking attempts to understand the concept of "cut and paste" for the hundredth time, I am confident that you will eventually know how the excel programme work one day. When that happens, be sure to let me know so we can celebrate you not having to use the calculator to count the figures in microsoft excel programme. It is great to see someone at your age, to still be learning about the basics of the computer. Most people your age have already retired and would just be relaxing at home spending time with their family. Nevertheless, it would be a good idea to register yourself to a matchmaking agency. Who says you cant meet the love of their life at the age of 57? Although it is quite late for you to have any kids, there is always adoption to turn to. It would be interesting to see you educate your child since you seem to be an expert on this topic all those times you have insisted I follow your style of educating the kids here at the centre. Overall, I am sad to leave you alone here wondering if life can ever be greater than it already is for you. I have learn so much from working here and I have you to thank. For example, I now know that there are some population of the human race who is like you and that knowledge alone is priceless. I will be sure to pass this knowledge to my future kids when they start their working life. Thank you and goodbye. Noi |
