Its been a wonderful week and I am determined to speak right no matter how much I am coughing my guts out. Speaking right and thinking right are the 2 main ingredients vital for my well being.
Last nights function was phenomenal. Apparently, Shankar is a cousin of Shivaram Kumar so those mature ibos can understand the background he is coming from. He did not seem as fired and excited as Kumar at first but as time goes on, I saw some part of Kumar in him and it was hysterical. Dr Sangeeta, on the other hand, was very gentle in the way she speaks. It was as if she chooses her words carefully and then let it out at the right time. The way she speaks was also as if there was background music accompanying her words.
It was not easy to concentrate as I was trying to hold my pee the entire time. I force myself to focus on the speaker and not on my urgent need to pee. I was sitting on the inside so if I were to go out, I would require the entire row of people to stand up on my way out. It would be embarrassing and might draw some unnecessary attention so I decided to stay put. You must applaud me for this.
A lot of people do not realize that they cannot predict how long they are going to be productive. That is why working all your life with no plan B is not a very good idea especially if you do not want to end up broke in your old age. Do you actually realize how unique God created us? We are so different from the rest of God creation because we are blessed with the ability to dream. We are also blessed with the ability to choose our life, our destiny and our future. Therefore, if you have the ability to dream, you have the power to touch millions of lives.
After 3 years in this business, I have encountered some individuals who uses the excuse of simplicity not do this business. It is funny because I have always thought that being rich is a simpler way to live. Think about this.
Is it simpler to walk to your car and drive off to your destination or is it simpler to wait for the bus, board the bus, go the train station, wait for the train, squeezed into train with a million others?
Is it simpler to shop and buy something you like or is it simpler to buy something because you can afford it?
Is it simpler to give the money required for your childs education or is it simpler to tell them that they cant further their studies anymore because you cant afford it?
Is it simpler to wake up when you are fresh and fully rested or is it simpler to drag yourself out of bed and then go to the office to see your boss?
Life is simple. Do not make it complicated. Most of us grew up with the wrong thought process so we think that the complicated things in our life are normal.
Just because everyone is doing it, does not mean it is right. Everyone is gravitating towards mediocrity, but the true winner will excel even in the most unfavorable circumstances.
Congratulations to Fafa and Fifi for attending your first BBS. This is just the beginning, the start of planting a seed. The fruits will come once the work is done.
To the rest of the awesome team present, you can do this and you can do this big time. I think it is about time we unleash and create the youngest team in the BWW Singapore history!
