Lessons on Health I just cannot keep away from here since I know you people are reading my blog consistently I did not want to keep you in suspense to what is happening. I learned something valuable last night. I think you should let you know so you can learn. Here goes. Eating anytime after 10 pm is unhealthy. Unless you are talking about eating fruits and vegetables, anything other than that is not advisable to eat. As usual I only had the time to have lunch at 12 pm yesterday and in the evening I was off to meeting. I did not even have breakfast. So basically, that lunch was the only meal of the day for me. As expected, I was feeling so hungry after meeting. Therefore Nurul and me went to the 7-11 store and she bought sandwich and I bought potato chips! When I reached home, I thought, yeah right, the potato chips are not going to make me full so I decided to cook some instant noodles. I did not even realize that I added in too much water and the noodle tasted so bland and I hated it. Nevertheless, I dont like to throw away food so there I was eating and finishing the bland noodles. After I finished eating that and cleaning up the kitchen a bit, I realize I was unhappy so I opened the packet of potato chips and ate it! I know, I should have resisted it but that was my first encounter with the potato chips in months so give me credit for that will ya? Lesson learnt: Keep fruits in your fridge, not snacks and junk food. If you dont want to buy them, you can always grow them in your kitchen or in your room. So while everyone is busy making resolutions for the new year, I was not. I think making resolutions are so overrated because people do not keep to it anyway. For myself, I make goals every month and then break it down to daily activities so that it is easier to keep track. This year I promised myself to do stp at least 2 times a week and read a minimum of 2 books per month. I completed 5 books in the last 1.5 months thanks to having no internet connection at night. But dont worry I have so many books at home that having no book to read is unlikely. Today was good too as I shared the plan with a friend. I cant wait for BBS tomorrow as we have been told what a wonderful person Sangeeta is. If you have not gotten your tickets, let me know because the tickets are out and I am going to have to pull some strings to get in. Dont worry, I am good at this. Almost everyone at home is being attacked by the fever and flu virus. I was bragging that I did not get it because my immune body system was strong due to my intake of supplements. Today I woke up and my throat do not feel too good. I am determined not to fall ill as often like in 2006 so I shall be making sure that I eat right and have a good rest before the start of a busy schedule. Another reason I thought might be possible to my throat condition is the dream that I had this morning. It was so weird because in the dream I was with this 2 people whom I have not met in years. For one of them, I would like it to remain that way but for the other person, I do hope to get bumped into him in streets. Not literally ok. I guess the presence of this person in my sub conscious mind is the result of some unresolved issues in the past. That is why never ever leave before settling all issues with people, because if not, it will forever remain in your sub conscious mind. I hope when I eventually get to meet this person, I can resolve all issues and not be plagued with uncertainty anymore. I saw this from the current book I am reading and I just wanted to share with you: - Knowing how to do the job is the accomplishment of labour. - Showing others is the accomplishment of a teacher. - Making sure the work is done by others is the accomplishment of a manager. - Inspiring others to do better work is the accomplishment of a leader. This is taken from the book Developing the leader within you by John C. Maxwell. I had this book for ages and I thought that now is the best time to read this book. I am watching Prison Break tonight! Woohoo! |
