Today I am going to write about FED and FED only. For those who are not sure what it stands for, FED stands for Free Enterprise Day. It is basically a celebration, where people with dreams still alove come together and celebrate each others success. It is also a time to learn from those who succeed and to get yourself re-acquainted with your dreams.
I did not realise that we missed FED last year. It was only after the team announce about FED this year, I realised that we wasted a whole year last year! Anyway, I still remember the first time I went to FED. I was only a 6%ter and I brought along 2 different lines. Some of my team did not follow me to FED for various reasons, but I can tell you that my heart ache all the time I was there, simply because they have missed so much, so much information, so much knowledge and so much inspiration. I can describe and atalk about my experience there all day but it is just NOT the same as being there yourself.
That FED changed my life.
For once I realised that I do have the power to create the future that I want. It IS up to me and no one else, and I shall tak responsibility for all my actions.
The following year was a challenging year for me in the business, but nevertheless, I still managed to bring 4 different lines as well. It was challenging, from the bus ride, right up to when we left, but my team who stuck by me thoughout the journey got my respect. The bus broke down, the drivers had no idea where we going, we arrived late, I have no ticket, our room was not available, we were drenched in the rain. Its like everything that can go wrong, did went wrong. Even so, we still left FED with so much, so much that for me to describe it to you, it is unjustifiable.
This time, the same team mates that when then, and are going this time, we know what to expect. We expect the best and this time, we expect to be blown away even better than the last time. Becuase this time, we are representing the Singapore team. We will be there to support our first Diamonds Sonny and Diana when they go up the stage, we will be there to let our presence known to the world. That this little red dot can make a huge difference in the lives of those who choose to believe. We will be there. We are there.
So, if you are going, that is great but not enough. You need to bring someone. A leg. 2 legs. 3 legs. You need to look for those who are looking, just like you. When you ask someone to go along with you to FED, you are offering him/her a chance to make life better not just for them, for their future generation as well. If they choose not to believe, let them be, we are not looking for them.
I choose to believe.
Lets count down to FED! Woohoo.
Allow yourself the right to say now when the world asks too much of you. God, help me to stay focus on my goals and responsibilities so that I have time for that which are important for me and my future.
