I am supposed to be having lessons now but one boy is absent and the other is in the hall having assembly and that means that I have 2 whole free periods to myself!
It is not that I am trying to slack away but it has been crazy. I did not even had the chance to blog during the weekends but that is purely because I was meeting some people for plan sharing. It has been exciting!
As tired as I might be, it does not derive from running around. The job is tiring, walking up and downs the stairs and preparing worksheets is enough to keep me from staying in a place too long. This is a great job, I really enjoy what I do, but I definitely do want to do this for more than 5 years.
Last night's function was electrifying! I think we ALL know that breaking platinum was a done deal for Arul and Lynette and for me in some ways, I could relate to him the most as he is Singaporean. Plus, Singaporeans can always relate to each other as we all share this 'kiasu' genes. Haha!
He said something that was really important. You know how sometimes we might want to achieve something but we do not believe in ourselves 100%? Arul mentioned that it does not matter, what matters is we have to believe in something bigger than ourselves- God. Not believing oneself, in some ways is also a reflection of your belief in God. I never really thought of it that way. I have seen the most pious people fall into the traps of poverty simply because they chose to remain mediocre.
Our religion never mentioned that we have to remain mediocre and not be succesful.
I am very sure that this year, 2008, our team will double and triple the numbers.
