I think my uplines are genius. They purposely planned to have the team meeting and the Britt Gala dinner at the start of the year so that the team can have a great start to the year. Coincidently, it was also happening on Samina's birthday and she got to hear the Singapore team singing to her via phone, halfway across the world. How awesome is that?
I think this is the first time I sit in the first row for team meeting. I was sitting next to Valar and she is truly a quiet person. Still water does run deep. Towards the end I was sitting next to the timekeeper and I was equally stress with the time constraint! Haha. I think its contagious so I hope I get infected with the success aura around these awesome leaders the more I sit near them and associate with them!
The most impactful to me was the sharing by Mr William. We are really blessed to share the same PASE, we learnt a lot from him. In fact I learn posture from him and the way I do things nowadays are heavily influenced by him. I mean, follow the good work ethics right? He said this : The only failure in life is the failure to fully participate in your own life.
One of the most valuable lesson I learnt from him was how to make quick decision by prioritizing. Identifying the time stealers is a piece of cake now. Thanks to his lesson and wisdom!
The other wise leader was of course Altaf. 5 minutes to deliver a powerful teaching is really admirable! I learnt about the power subconcious mind recently when I started to learn how to drive. Initially learning the manual was so difficult for me, the engine kept dying on me, I would brake suddenly..I thought I was never going to master it. With practice, time, patience and persistency, the system got into place. Slowly I realise that I do not have to think so much anymore. For instance pressing the clutch pedal before braking and changing gear is now automatic. I used to think and check myself to make sure I do it. When it is automatic, it means that its already sunk into the subconcious mind.
Which comes back to this: Are you in the functions, or are the functions in you?
I especially like the prawns. Prawns make me happy. Haha. The chocolate cake was great too! It looked really big here but its actually only bite sized.
Only 2 halal tables? Too few man. My team mates occupy 80% of the table. Next time I shall have 2 tables for my team yah! If you were not there, what a pity because for once we got to feel what it was like to be on an ALS trip which is 10x better than this!
Anyway, its ok to change the date of the goal, but the goal shall remain the same. Actually when Rajsegran was asking about the points, I actually was so busy with my team mates' s points that I forgot to calculate mine! Therefore I sat down when he stop at 20 points. I calculated my points when I reached home and I realised that my points was more than 20. Awesome, silly me for not checking :p
This fiscal year goals are very clear for me. I shall follow Ender's style of goal saying:
Thank God, I am in platinum qualification by March 09.
Thank God, I am platinum by October 2009, with 3 Eagle legs.
Thank God, I will have waves of new eagles this 2009.
This 2009 is OUR year. Make it happen ;)

It was also very smart to organise the dinner after the team meeting. 10 points to qualify is really low man, almost everyone could make it there. The place was so beautiful and yes there were so much food to eat! Even though we were starving, we still could not finish all the food. Check this outzz!
