Updates: A very looooooonnnnnggg entry / Sunday, April 05, 2009 @ 9:56 PM
Updates: A very looooonnngggg entry I had an entremely busy week, which is why I have not been updating. Thank you for some of your concerns and worries but I am all well, even better than ever! Its heartening to know that people come to this blog on a regular basis. These few days have been filled with so many wonderful events and I can seriously go on and on BUT I know that pictures are worth thousands and thousands of words so I have decided to share some pictures of wonderful memories and of course most importantly, for me to remember. You might find it boring and that is totally ok. Wednesday: Hmm, where do I start? Oh yes! Continuing with a very controlled food intake. We had catered lunch in school on Wed, thanks to all the promotees who decided to 'belanja' us. However, lunch was only at 1.45 and I knew for sure I was going to be hungry so I brought tuna sandwich for breakfast and apples for sustaining any hunger before lunch. I realised that apples can be filling but only for short periods of time. Even with the delicious catered food, I was selective in choosing my food so I took minimum food and noodles but supersized on vegetables instead. ![]() I was incredibly irritated by the fact that I had to stay for meeting that lasted until 4.30 pm and I was not in attire for open meeting. Due to that, I rushed home and after packing and ironing clothes, I only managed to leave home at about 6.05 pm. The team was supposed to meet me at 6.30 so I took a cab down to town which costs a lot! Gameplan was awesome and I must thank Fir who selflessly lend his shoes to one of Nurul's guest. It was so funny because he was the timer for the session and he was wearing no shoes for the entire first session. Haha! Thank you soo much! Ended up buying sandwich from 7-11 simply because PS is full of fast food chains and it was almost impossible to find halal healthy food! Almost. Anyway, I got started to prepare for lunch for the next day as soon as I reached home which was about 11.30 pm. Decided to include some taste for salad and Mom actually took my idea to bake the chicken with honey and olive oil to put it into my salad! It worked! The salad tasted sooo good! I also added in some raisins. I also had the time to experiment with some wholemeal bread. Using SP's method, the bread crumbs came out crunchy and I was so excited! Packed it all and I only finished cleaning at 1.00 am. This zombie has to teach in class the next day you know. Friday was an extremely long day. Did not go to school but went to TN instead for sharing. As soon as I arrived, I was greeted excited by JS, who always made me tickle inside and I always end up laughing at him. Oh well, he is a nice person and way too gentle for his own good. Sharing was ok and I was a little suprised by the mentors who were chosen to do this. I somehow felt that there were others who are doing way better than some of the guys who were there so I really do not know what is the criteria that they must have to be chosen to have this responsibility. Anyway, while sitting behind, I saw a familiar face and after checking the namelist, I realised that right there sitting in the audience was my long lost primary school mate! He used to be the monitor of the class and I was so excited to see him there! Talk for a while and I am glad that he is going to a really good school (my good friends will be his mentor). It was really funny when I announce to the lady mentors that he was married with kids. There was a huge sigh from the ladies after I did that! Anyway was so excited that I had to called Hana on my way back to school. What a small world! Had to grab a really quick lunch and it does not look like I was going to make it for the 2pm class so in the end I decided to cancel the class. I was also starving from hunger and recovering from the heat. Walking at 1 pm even with the umbrella did not help much. The only thing healthy that I could think if was KFC's chicken garden salad. It tasted good! ![]() I am really proud of myself because I used to be a non veggie eater! Congratulate me! ![]() PASE was awesome and really far but the place was so huge, it was almost a jungle. I am excited to share a lot but I think I shall keep this part for my next entry. Night owl was also awesome. Was starving so ended up eating kway teow! Shared with Naf and I passed the fried egg to Fir. No way I was going to eat all this fat! I was really sleepy during night owl but I am glad that I was there. Eddie and Margaret was sooooooo sweet to send everyone home. I really do not want to keep getting a lift from them especially if my home is not along their way home. They are truly selfless leaders and I count my blessings to be associated with them. I was the last they sent home and I ended up reaching home at about 1.30 am. I had driving lessons at 8 am! Sleep sleep sleep! Saturday: Went for driving at 8 am like a sleepy zombie. I somehow lost my sense of directions and suddenly forgot how to park the car. Bravo. Reached home, slept until 12 pm. Got up to get ready to go to NB class starting at 2 pm. NB class was tough! My arms are still sore until today! But it was really effective because I was producing so much pespiration. Went over to visit Cik Ima at Changi Hospital, thank God all are within walking distance! Got home by 4 plus, quickly changed to get to Plaza Park Royal for the Achievers Dinner. Dinner was so awesome and it was even lovelier sitting with Ender's team. There was so much food to choose from, even more than the last time. However each time I wanted to take a 'No' food, I recalled how hard I worked in the afternoon and stopped myself. Overall, I only ate this: ![]() Sushi, salmon, grilled chicken, carrots, mushrooms, fish, kang kong and some other vegetables. I even stayed away from the prawns, ice cream and I ate only the top part of the cakes. Wow. I am getting stronger at resisting! Except for coffee. Hmm thats why I could not sleep after that. ![]() Food was soooooooooo great, company was soooooo fantastic, chit chat with the team was the best. My conversation with Heng M and Xavier about Superman and Batman was the most hilarious and it was seriously awesome team bonding. Next time, be there!!!!! Sunday: Today, Sunday, went for 2 hour class (CL and LO) and my legs feel a little tired but man, bring it on!
