Finally, its the holidays. I am looking forward to spending more time at home and cleaning up. I seriously need to reorganize my wardrobe and my desk. There are so many clothes in bags that I do cannot fit into anymore and I do not know what to do with them.Everything is really messy and I would probably take one whole day to clear everything.
I started my holidays on Wednesday. I had the MSN training still going on Monday and on Tuesday I had to go out and get tokens and buddy reading books. Its all finally done and I left school hoping to be away from it for at least 1.5 weeks. I brought home work, hoping that i will get started on next semesters worksheets and lesson plan. I am so far behind!! I really need to get it all done before school starts, if not I can goodbye to afternoon classes!It always pays to be prepared in advance.
Of course the main cause of my exhaustion was from the camp. This year was better, more organized but it was more hectic mainly because we had more boys going for camp this year.
Our location was a new one, we went to Bedok Reservoir Forest Adventure. Prior to this, the boys thought we were going to a forest literally. Perhaps they are not aware there arent many forest in Singapore? Haha.
This year we had more of partner's boys coming along and the integration between the 2 groups of boys were amazing.
Those who went before were all more excited than the rest. Perhaps I am getting to be too predictable hahaa.
While it may looked easy for us on the ground, it was not easy at all for some of the boys. My partners and me were shouting away words of encouragement and even the bigger boys had to overcome their fear of heights, red ants etc. However I was extremely proud of my little darlings from P1 and P2 who went through the obstacle without any problems! They were cool and calm and I was so proud of them!!!
Except for Jack (as usual) who cannot let go of his fear, the rest did so well! It was a first time for many of them but they did it anyway. It was hilarious to see partner's boys as well, especially when they behave out of the norm.
Back to school to do pur signature Amazing Race game. I was in panic mode when one of my facilitators went missing, as a result everyone was waiting for him. Next time cannot give me such panic attacks! This year's slogan was 'Overcome to become'. Its simple and short but because of the many vowels, some boys got confused.
Anyway they all manage to play the game well. I think they really enjoy it. After which we had the normal prize presentation. I am still amazed that parents took time off and show up but come to think of it, how many times do these boys get recognize publicly for something good?
The prize presentation is always anticipated by the boys and the parents. I was extremely proud of some boys who made so much improvement in their marks and I am sure that at the end of the year they will do even better.

Partners and me were so exhausted and during the camp itself we often wonder why we go through so much to organize this. However at the end of the day, the boys' smiles and their parents' words of thanks appreciation reminded us why all over again.
