I am desperately waiting for the last sentence of this quiz to be true. Sorry if the site looks pretty cluttered and messy. I am in the process of moving to a new site. Please stay patient with me. When all is ready, I will announce the new webby address. Meanwhile please take a moment to vote in the poll on your left, it will take only a second of your time. I prefer to listen to the voices of others before making any major decisions. Therefore I would like to hear you voice. Thank you. I really appreciate it. Something interesting happened on Wednesday on my way to meeting. I was in a hurry as I was already late. I was in CT Hall before that looking for cards but it was not there and I ended up being in the bookstore longer than I intended. It feels like there is a magnetic pull in the shop, stopping me from leaving the books without buying them. I decided to leave quickly and try my luck at Peninsula Plaza instead. So I had to forced my way through the busy crowd. It was the peak hours. I reached Dhobby Gaut station at 7.40. Meeting starts at 7.30 and there I was at 8.00 pm at Times, still looking for the postcards to be given to the new achievers later that night. This is why I hate doing things last minute. Same thing. There were so many books around, I got distracted! Its like the books are calling me "Browse me! Pick me!". Anyway I was finally done, I couldnt find the nicest card but was left with not much choice. So I left the store at walked over to Meriedien Hotel where the meeting was held. My feet was already hurting from all the walking in heels. Before reaching the hotel, I had to cross the traffic light. While waiting, this south african guy, out of nowhere just stood next to me and started talking to me. He started asking me where I was going, whats my name, blah blah blah. I was starting to get really annoyed that I started to fold my arms. Isnt that the general body language that someone is fed up with you? He then started asking if I was cold. Duh! When the traffic turned green, I quickly walked and there he was still walking next to me and talking to me. He doesnt stop asking me where I was going..blah blah blah. I didnt want to appear rude so I gave a one word answers to all the questions. There were times I couldnt understand his accent and had to strain my ears. It was getting annoying. When I had to go inside the building, he stopped and asked me to take down his number. Just to make him go away, I keyed his number in my hp. And before walking away I told him, "Sorry, I am in a rush." as polite as I could. He then asked me to take care of myself. As I walked to the meeting, I thought to myself, that was pretty unusual. He was annoying, but not pushy. But it was still pretty unusual for a stranger to give you his number. And he is not local! I dont think any local guys are capable of doing this. Haha! No offence. Suprisingly I was not shaken by this experience, I was a little annoyed, but I was not scared. If this had happened years ago when I was as timid as a mouse, I would have been really scared. One of the signs of growing up? Maybe. Of course when I told Nurul about it, she laughed at me. Not a chuckle. She laughed ALOUD at me. Hellooooo. A little sympathy please. I dont even know how to react. If any of you reading this has ever experience something like this, please share your experiences so I will know how to react next time. I am not even sure I want a next time. I might change my mind if the guy is cute. Haha. |
