I need coffee.
I am so sleepy, I just cannot get anything done. Just realized that dateline for NED 101 submission is on Monday and I am not even halfway done! Gosh, what happened? Where did all the time go? Before I sit and ponder about my temporary memory loss, let me share what happened yesterday.
As known, we had skin consultation with the one and only Nor Jumaton yesterday at HQ. I was glad that I did not have any classes and for the first time I could attend a free workshop. It was better. There were not many people there and we managed to sit in front! Kak Yati and Khairun and me were all sitting together at a table and we were right smacked in the middle. There was going to be a demonstration of make up later, of course I have to be in front to see. The session went great! Even for ibos like me who have been doing this for a few years, it was like a refresher course and I did learn some facts that I did not know. For example, people with oily skin can use the liquid foundation. I honestly did not know that. I could sense that most of them in the room are new and therefore they ask amateurish questions, but what the heck, we are all there to learn. While Khairun was there panicking about her skin condition I told her to look around the room and be thankful because the majority of them had bigger skin problems such as pigmentation and wrinkles. Thank goodness, for this business, I am now aware of certain facts and myth and now I want to take care of my skin while I am still young. Sometimes I feel that the younger people take their good skin for granted by not taking care of it. It is YOUR skin so I guess you can do whatever you want with it.
It ended quite late and thank goodness we were able to tumpang Kak Yatis car to Meridien. It was crazy. I think it is definitely one of the craziest thing I have done this year. Imagine, running out of the car, pass by all the shops, run across the hotel lobby, into the toilet, run out of the toilet, into the back room in heels! One of the ladies in the team were so worried, she thought we were being chased by somebody! Haha! It was crazy. I do not even know how we got from HQ to town area in 15 minutes. Maybe its because Kak Yati is such a daredevil driver that I swear she must have stepped on the brakes more than 5 times within the journey. I was counting my blessings so I had no worries.
After that, while everyone was coming into the room, I was going out of the room. It is weird ok! I was leaving for PS since Nurul and me decided to eat at LJS at Plaza Singapura. That was the first time I was so early and left my bag on one of the chairs. When I came back for the second session, people were wondering whose bag was on the chair. The owner could not be found. Ok, I am guilty of that, I didnt think I would come back so late.
Anyway it was a wonderful session. William do not need the microphone man, his voice is loud enough! Haha. At first he sounded like he was fighting but I knew that everyone was just keeping quiet and listening to this man who is so full of wisdom. William asked the crowd to read Think and Grow Rich again and again. I have read it once and it was so awesome so I shall be reading it again soon. His signature statement was this:
People who succeed in life are quick to make decisions but slow to change it. They do not quit, they figure things out.
I shall keep that in mind whenever things get rough. Thank you for the sharing, I am truly blessed to be part of this phenomena.
