I am such a big fan of Sesame Street and I am sure most of you are too. I test and do screening on students almost every week and it always baffles me why students just cannot remember the sequence of the alphabet. Perhaps, when we were kids, watching Sesame Street helps us to remember the sequence of alphabet. I remember reciting the alphabet song so many times! Also, I think most of us learn how to read from the show. Remember the tall skinny guy who will blend the letters together and then eventually read the word. This show is genius! They should really bring it back!
One of my most favourite characters was the Cookie Monster! Yay! If some of you notice, I will sometimes sms you like this:
'Me will be late.' instead of 'I will be late."
I did not even realise it until today! Haha! I was following how Cookie Monster talks! I am also beginning to think that Cookie Monster is the main reason for my infatuation with cookies. So hurray to Cookie Monster!
Last night's function was awesome! I MUST congratulate Mr Khairul for taking the first step to pin achieving this month! I am so proud of him. All credit should also go to the person mentoring him, you know who you are. This is only the beginning, bigger pins on the way. We all know it.
Nawal's message last night: Decide where you want to be first and then the rest will follow. A lot of times I see people who do not know where they want to end up. Then its most likely that they will end of nowhere.
So let the learning begin. Come with an empty cup. The biggest obstacle to learning is EGO. Leave it behind.
It is time to celebrate the weekend, celebrate the time we have, celebrate you..........;)
