you're the one for me >>
but I do not know who and where you are........... < ">

You can call me Noi! This blog consists of my thoughts. I am just a simple person with BIG dreams! Like the charcoal, hot pressure and extreme heat must be present in order to create a Diamond. I am in the exact same process.

10 things

Oh, I miss blogging! As you know, I do not bring home the laptop from school except on weekends so to blog using my bro's computer is soooooooooooooo difficult. Furthermore, I have been busier this week simply because of the exciting phone meeting we had on Monday. I have also started going to workout classes since Thursday so that is why I hardly have any time in front of the computer.

I decided to go for the LO class on Thursday night because I wanted to give the low impact workout a try before coming on Sunday's CL class. I was also feeling stress and that is hardly common for me. No, dont worry its not because of work. The LO class had a replacement instructor and it was ok. I thought it went well.

Therefore, since there was no PASE on Friday, I decided to try the KB class at Tampines. Hmm, KB is very high intensity and I made it a point to inform the trainer that I will be taking it easy due to the knee injury. It was ok in the beginning but as the class went on, it got more and more difficult to follow. I was soo happy to be there but at the same time I felt so clumsy and I was not able to move as quick (and graceful hahah) as before. I have been told by Edlyn (the instructor) to stop whenever there is a sharp pain and no jumping. I did just that ok. Still there was pain and it really was slightly depressing.

So today, I went over to CL class by my favourite instructor. Yay. Its so sad that he will not be taking Sunday's CL class and I am totally bummed about it. I am really so happy to be there, the place seemed more crowded which is expected. Same thing, of course I did not get the same intensity as others but I did not blame myself too much this time. Still, it was a bit sad not to be able to move fast, CL class is all about moving fast so I was lost several times as I was not able to concentrate on the moves but I had to focus on not over exerting the knee any further.

Now there is a slight pain whenever I land on my left feet but I am not sure if its because of the workout or was it because I started to do my prayers without the chair. It was really painful to do the prayers without the chair but somehow my mum thinks I should give it a try.

Yesterday was the first day at Tampines outlet after being away for almost a month. I arrived late for NB class so I did not join it. Looking around for the trainer who tested me and he was nowhere to be found. Anyway, I was happily talking away with the philipino trainer who is super friendly but as he was talking I was busy trying to ignore the accent and concentrate on the content of his talk. Haha. Today I saw him again and he always never fails to stop and say hello. However today was a bit distracting. Yup, the big arm muscles are distracting to me.

So my suggestion is, for a gym where the majority of its regulars consist of ladies, they should make it a rule for the guys to cover up. Not cover up totally but at least cover the big arms. Seriously, its distracting.

This week's eating plan is ok but mostly prepared by Mum. She made this and it was so delicious.

Tofu and egg with all my favourite vegetables. I am still learning how to count the calories especially when I do not know the full ingredients in the dish. The book I am reading now is so useful for me and I am sure I will master how to count calories in no time.

I had a really exciting overview on Friday. Let me tell you something that I have learnt from years of doing business.

We all have stupid relatives.

Seriously, some of you might have more, some of you might have lesser, but we all have them. But that is still ok. What is not ok is when you listen to them. I mean, come on, why would you choose to listen to someone of no credibility and had no success in life whatsoever. So in this case, who is more stupid? The person herself/himself or the person who chooses to listen to them?

I am speaking from experience. Even I have my fair share of stupid relatives who tell me the most ridiculous things but thank GOD I am educated well enough that I can think for myself. I may hear but I will not choose to listen to them. The worst thing is, these stupid relatives think they are actually smart.

As much as I think the education system in Singapore is good, we somehow fail to teach our citizens to think for themselves. We grow up allowing others to make decision for us, we even listen to opinions of others and allow them to influence the decision we make. Some of us do not even know the difference between facts and opinions.

Thank God my father has never ever made any major decision for me. I remember being in secondary school and was thinking of which CCA to join. Of course, in those days, we go to our parents and asked their opinions. My dad simply say just choose the one I like and the one that I know I will not regret choosing it.

I did and from then on, I made every single major decision in my life including what to major in, what job to apply for, what furniture to buy in the room and even starting a business. I am proud to say that everything in my room is from my hard earned money since secondary school, my family had never ever paid for something so big for me in those days. We were not that well off so I understand what it means by paying my dues.

Even bad decisions, bad experiences, bad feelings, have all accumulated and shaped me into the person I am today. It baffles me why some people are so wary and worried about being cheated whereas in my opinion, nobody can cheat you if you are smart enough to get full (not half) information of whatever that you choose to venture in. Have some confidence in yourself, let your heart feel, listen to your brain speak. You will make a right decision.

Any decision made based on fear of the unknown is never a smart choice.

Therefore, remember this:

That's how we should all live our lives!

No matter what happens, always be thankful for what you have. I think I have been so focused on what I cannot do because of this knee injury that I have almost forgotten what to be thankful for. I am forever thankful to Ender for sharing this habit of writing down 10 things you are thankful for each day. I have been meaning to do this so let today be the start.

10 things I am thankful for today:
1. Waking up late, thus catching up on my sleep for the whole week.
2. Eating chicken rice. I have not had chicken rice in weeks!
3. Watching FRIENDS and laughing. No matter how many times I watch this show, it never fails to make me laugh.
4. For Margaret who never fail to sms me any updates and news, even in the wee hours of the morning.
5. Driving to Tampines and not hearing any nagging.
6. A new road that just opened that link Ubi to the expressway in less than 3 minutes. Yay!!!
7. Going for CL class by my favourite instructor. I enjoyed the class very much.
8. Greeted warmly by the philipino trainer with the distracting big muscles.
9. My guest who actually called me back on the phone.
10. I am able to blog today.

Its so weird because I thought it was going to be difficult but I could actually go on and on.

Tomorrow is Sunday and yes its the school holidays!!
