I have completed my latest layout design! Finally. Now you can view the comments page without having the right module overlapping it. Yea! However, I am still trying to change the background. I cant seem to get it right. I wanted to keep the previous background of leaves and spring but my attempts have all ended up in failure! I cant stand having unfinish business like this. It just makes me feel incomplete you know.. This week alone I was scheduled to go for 6 appoinments. By the end of the week, I only went to 2 out of the 6 schedule appoinments. The others 4 were all postponed to a later date. I do not mind someone canceling on me provided they have a good reason in doing so. If you are not sure what I mean by good reasons, I have taken the initiative to list down some of them. Good reasons to postpone/cancel appoinments: 1. Someone close passed away. 2. High fever, diarrhoea or other illnesses that does not allow you to leave the house. 3. I have no choice but to work late cos my boss forces me to. 4. Someone close fell really sick and need my urgent help to call the ambulance. 5. I am involved in a serious accident. Those are excusable reasons. There are the kind of things which are unplaned and unexpected so I can understand the situation. Excuses to postpone/cancel appoinments: 1. My cat gave birth. (This also applies to dogs, hamsters, rabbits and whatever animals people keep as pets) 2. I am too tired. 3. I forgot totally about the appoinment. 4. My boyfriend / girlfriend need me to accompany them do something. 5. I have to run errands. 6. My boyfriend/girlfriend/parents asked me to cancel. 7. There is a good show in tv. 8. I got lost on the way there. Let me stop here cos it really gets more stupid after no. 8. Dont get me wrong. I am not angry with anyone. However, I believe in accountability and doing what you actually promise to do. Being an organize and systematic person, I always write down in my planner the time, date and places of appoinments. That is to show that I have plan my time well and any changes to it, will somehow disrupt my entire schedule. To me, time is money, and wasting time really makes me annoyed. Furthermore, most of the excuses listed above should be already known to the user (the person using the excuse) in advance. What irks me most is when people do cancel appoinments, they do so at the last minute, say 1 hour before. Sometimes, I would already be on the way to the point of meet up and to having to turn back is not something I enjoy. What not to do when you have no choice but to postpone appoinment: Send them an sms last minute! I never cancel appoinments via sms. I think its just plain rude. I mean, if you are going to postpone for whatever reasons, the least you can do is to tell them yourself and apologize. Unless, you tried calling and the other person did not pick up your call. It might not seem like a big deal to you but it is to me. Time is so precious to me that I get annoyed with people who do this cos it just goes to show that they do not respect the importance of my time. That time slot can be used to do other better things that I have to do. In the end its all about being accountable. You are what you say. The more you are not accountable, the more people will not trust you. Quote of the day: When you lose money, you have not lost anything. When you lose a friend, you have lost something. When you lose your word, you have lost everything. |
