Finally! I have been having some alignment problems at this site and theref
ore I was unable to write in for a few days. It was irritating and thank goodness its all ok now. I still have the problem of my right module bar overlaping the entry at the comment page so I will be trying to move my whole right module to my left soon when I have more uninterupted time in front of the computer.
Today to my shocked, Kak Nor showed me a newspaper article about a man being jailed because he tortured a kitten until its eyes popped out. There was even a photo of the kitten with bleeding eyes. I am just soooooo angry at people who abused animals like that. Even i
f you hate cats for whatever reason, there is no need to torture the poor animal until like that! Its sooo inhuman! How could anyone hate cats?! They are such lovely creatures of God created to be man's companion. I just hope the government can imposed stricter and harsher punishment for such inhuman acts! The man was jailed for 3.5 years, which I thought was not enough. I am against discrimination of any kind!! How would you feel of you were the cats? You dont even know what in the world is going on and here somebody is torturing you half to death because they dont like you?! Unbelievable!
There are so many stray cats around that its almost impossible to take care of all of them. There are some kind souls who goes around to feed the stray cats without fail everyday. For example, there is this old lady near my house who comes by at 7 am every morning, without fail to feed the cats near the market. All the cats seem to know this lady's timing for arrival that by 6.50 am, all the cats will be loitering around outside the market waiting for her. And when she finally arrives, they will all be following her in one straight row like little kids lining up for class.
Therefore, one of my dreams, you can call it emotional dream, is to set up a cat shelter for all the stray cats in Singapore. Currently there is only one such cat s
helter in this country and due to budget constrains, it is unable to accommodate to the growing population of stray cats around. This problem can greatly be reduced if cat owners have a little bit more responsibility and not drop their cats anywhere when they can no longer take care of the cats. Just think of how lost the cats will feel. Animals have feelings too you know. It would also help a lot if the cats were sterilised to prevent over population of stray cats.
Sorry for the over emotional post. I am very passionate about cats. The last time I lost my cat, it took me months to overcome the crying thing. This last cat pic reminds me sooo much of Bedah and her kitten when they sleep. She is always over protective of her kittens and this cat in this pic looks soo much like her. I miss her so much.........
