Today is a very special day as it is the grand finals of Singapore Idol. Considering that it is the only show I watch on tv nowadays, let me dedicate todays entry to the show.This entry is dedicate especially to readers of this blog, who are not from Singapore.
Just a brief introduction, the auditions for Singapore Idol went back since Feb this year. The last Singapore Idol show was in 2004 and since my lovely country is so small, we dont have Singapore Idol every year. Last season's winner was Taufik Batisah, who, ehem, went to the same instituition as me. Yes, of course I know him, I used to see him around the canteen area with the guitar, so of course he does not know me personally.
Haha.
Anyway, to me, this year finals consists of both really strong individuals. For the first time, I do not know who to support as I love them both! However, I must say that since I am rocker girl, my support weighs more towards Jonathan Leong, the rocker. Guess what? He always choose my favourite songs! You can judge yourself ok, this video is of him performing Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol, which is my favourite song at the moment.
Hady Mirza, the other finalist, is just as good, if not better vocally.He is cool and I must say that he has lots of supporters! Oh yes, that includes my whole family at home and they keep bugging me to vote! I aint voting at all this year! Here, you judge.
There has been talks that Jonathan will win since Singapore do not want another malay idol winner. I think Singapore is not so racist to not vote for someone because of his race. Anyway I think he is one talented guy and both of them deserves to be in the finals.
The results will be announced tommorow so I shall inform you of the outcome. Do leave a comment of two regarding who you think will win based on the video I uploaded. (I took a long time figuring out how to do so! Give me some credit!)
