So little time.
It has been an incredibly hectic few days. I feel like I am still standing here at the same spot where I was 2 days ago wondering what happened in the world around me. Do you ever get the feeling that time is moving way too fast and you can barely catch up? I feel sad because in my rush to complete this and that, I might have overlooked some factors that might be important for me in the future.
BBS on Tuesday was fantastic. I was such a rush from class to function. I know that I looked like Shrek when I met Nurul. I was carrying my heavy bag and my right feet still hurts whenever I walked. Worse of all, I had no make up on me. However I was too busy trying to figure out how to be on time for the function so I had to ignore the pain in my feet and my hideous face.
It was clear that the speakers were not fluent in English but nevertheless, their message came across strong and clear. I do not know why but whenever the wife spoke, I get all teary. Her words are slow, it seems like she was translating every word from Thai to English. It also seems hard but her determination to get her message across, succeeded. She reminded us that with this business, we are allowed to dream again. Therefore, we must learn how to dream big this time. The ability to dream is God’s gift to only human beings. If we do not do something about this, we are not justifying Gods precious gift to us.
The husband, Mr Dhanya proved that generally people work for 2 reasons. Food and freedom. People who work for food will be in the average category. Only the winners will choose to work for freedom. Freedom to be able to do whatever you want, whenever you want.
It was such a long day for me but somehow I felt rejuvenated and recharged. I took a break from the million other things I had to do and focus on the wonderful speakers and make the best of the time I spent there. If you missed it, you missed some touching moments and valuable pointers.
I have learned never to turn down or refuse the opportunity to learn something, from someone way more respectable that ourselves. This was one such occasion.
Meanwhile, the anticipation of waiting for the reply email from my principal and CT is driving me nuts.
