You can call me Noi! This blog consists of my thoughts. I am just a simple person with BIG dreams! Like the charcoal, hot pressure and extreme heat must be present in order to create a Diamond. I am in the exact same process.

Where was I? / Sunday, May 27, 2007 @ 10:04 PM
Where was I?

Its Sunday night already? The weekend went by too fast for me. The week though, was a bit draggy since there was nothing much to do in school. Nevertheless, it was quite eventful in some ways.

Weds open was awesome. You know, Guru's plan used to be so serious but nowadays there are so much humour and I like it. I think a lot of people are mistaken about security. Job security does not equal to income security. He mentions 2 qualities of successful people.

1. Ability to set priorities
2. Ability to get the job done

In most cases when people say that there are very busy to me, I am thinking that they are not setting their priorities right. Do not waste time doing things that are going to get done anyway. I am guilty of this in some ways. There was once upon a time when I had my priorities all wrong and things were not going according to plan. It takes one minute to realise it and another second to make a decision to make changes.

On Friday we had parent teacher conference in school and somehow I end up running all over the school because I did not have a station. I guess that will change because my VP personally came to me and ask "Do you need a room?" Oh well, duh! Anyway it was almost halfway anyway so I told him it is ok, for now. I am glad that he notices such things and these are just one of the things that I feel so blessed about being there.

I was pleasantly suprise when a teacher revealed Navin's marks. She kept telling me that he had improved so much since I came and part of his improvment should be credited to me. I was thinking, ok, this boy had really low self esteem in his studies and I just lifted his spirits a bit and not make him feel like a total failure. It was not until the teacher revealed his marks that I could not believe it. He improved his marks by 25%! Thats a lot considering that he was a non- reader! Wow..I am over the top! I think he deserves a gift from me! I was slightly dissapointed that his mum did not come. It is as though she did not care about her sons and I am bothered by this fact. I sensed this in the boys too when they waited endlessly on Friday for her arrival.

I was also glad to be able to meet Daniel's mom, whom, I thought looked as cute as he does. Overall, I think it went great and I am glad that the parents came. I was also able to meet Kenji's dad and urged him to go to DAS for assessment. He was not as bad. In fact, I think Kenji's dad also looked so cute just like his son. The earing in one ear was distracting for me! Haha!

Overall, I think it was great.

Yesterday was fun! The girls and me went to our resource supplier and we were overwhelmed by the things there! There were so many things that we can use and we just went on listing and listing the things down. Having 10k to spend for the room is great, we just have to be sure that we will be using those things when lessons start. I am sure we will. Some of the educational materials were so great that I even considered buying it for myself, haha! The kids are so lucky.

This week is supposed to be holiday week but of course we are not having any:( Neveerthelss, I am looking forward to BBS on Friday! Britt team, I shall be giving the tickets out on Wednesday. See ya!
