You can call me Noi! This blog consists of my thoughts. I am just a simple person with BIG dreams! Like the charcoal, hot pressure and extreme heat must be present in order to create a Diamond. I am in the exact same process.

Madness week!

As mentioned in my previous entry, this has been the most madness week of the year. Thankfully it is also the last school week of the year so we can all celebrate after this! Before I go on and share with you the happenings of the past 2 really madness days, I just wanted to let you know that all photos are because of SP who has been a very excellent and BIG help! This is her and me at the Awards Night, looking very pretty because she was on duty to make the boys up. That boy is Nathaniel who I am soooo proud of!

Friday was our camp and I tell you, in the morning there were so many glitches from boys not wearing long pants, boys still sleeping, parents who did not sign the indemty form and the list goes on. I thought I was gonna go bonkers! But thank GOD all the madness paid off. The boys got the chance to do rockclimbing and abseiling. Ok initially I do not even know what abseiling is! I must say that the boys were very brave, even the P1s and Gurditt (who was crying when SP took this picture) press on and went on to climb beyond the red line even when he was scared.

Abseiling I thought was more challenging because this time, we had to go up all the way first before going down on the rope. This time, I see some boys not doing it because they were scared. There were some who went up the stairs all the way but decided to back out and came down back using the stairs. Of course there were some who did it anyway despite being scared and I am sooooooo proud of those boys!

Plus, the teamwork was amazing. So many boys were helping each other take off the rope thingy.

This is K who went up and came down twice---using the stairs! Before we left, he decided that he has got to do this--and he did! Everyone was cheering him and celebrating when he finally made it! Wow!

Of course some people did not want to miss the chance too. The boys kept asking if I was going to do it and frankly, I did it because I wanted to show them that I do what I say. So I decided to do it to show them that they can be proud of me too. I was not nervous at all but right before I step my feet off the ledge, that was when I had the adrenalin rush. I was thinking "What in the world am I doing?!" However what spurred me on was my boys shouting, "Miss A**! You can do it!" After that I could not hear anything but their cheers and that was the motivating factor that made me take my feet off the ledge. How did I feel then? GREAT! I wanted to do it again!

When we reached school, we continued with the Tallest Tower and Amazing Race. Excitement, boys running all over school searching for clues!

I thought the year ended with a bang! The prize presentation was of course the highlight of the day and I was suprised to see so many parents actually turned up. Some were surprised that they received prizes but overall I thought the boys all went home happily.
Most importantly, they will all look forward to my class next year! Hopefully with the motivation to get the prizes, I will see more effort and more good behavior! All this would not be possible if not for 2 superwomen, Cat and SP! 3 cheers for them!!!
